Paul Carrick, MSW, RSW

Paul Carrick is a passionate facilitator who has been providing therapy and mediation support for individuals, couples, groups and workplaces for 19 years. Paul holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work that complements his extensive experience in the fields of crisis and trauma, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, high conflict mediation and workplace conflict. Paul educates in a wide range of public and private sectors, delivering practical, applicable information for participants mixed with a humorous and engaging presentation style...

Description

For those who work in an environment where there is potential for violence, it is important to develop the skills needed to defuse dangerous situations. This webinar will focus on how to de-escalate potentially violent situations through assertiveness and interpersonal communication. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to assess the potential for violence and respond with a diverse set of interpersonal tools and strategies designed to defuse potentially violent situations.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled 7 or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify CTRI of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrollment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel arrangements with this in mind.

Limited Seating

Register Early! To better facilitate group interaction, seating is limited.

Children and unregistered guests are not permitted in the meeting rooms.

You Will Receive

A spiral bound training manual and workshop certificate as well as morning  refreshments. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM.

Group Registration Instructions

To register a group for a workshop, register for selected workshop, then once in shopping cart, add quantity of participants and provide names of all participants.

Continuing Education Credit

While many associations and licensing bodies accept CTRI workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits. Credit hours: A two day workshop earns 12 continuing education hours and a one day workshop earns 6 hours. A certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the workshop.

Because of our approval with ASWB and NBCC, many State Boards accept our workshops for Continuing Education Credit. Please contact your state board/association directly to confirm their requirements.
