Kimberly Enns, MSW, RSW
Kimberly is a Registered Social Worker, holding a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her professional experience includes clinical case management, counseling and group facilitation in the child welfare system for high-needs children and youth, as well as in community-based programs for those who struggle with eating disorders and for individuals with intellectual disabilities in conflict with the law. In addition to her work with CTRI, Kimberly maintains a private counseling practice for individuals, couples, and families, specializing in the areas of trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, self-injury behavior, and disordered eating and body image. Her therapeutic approach is one of warmth and collaboration, recognizing that people are resilient, have inherent wisdom about their lives, and are hardwired for connection with others. Constantly pursuing her own growth as a therapist, Kimberly believes that helpers are energized by fresh ideas and approaches. She draws on her experience in the field and passion for these issues to provide energetic, enlightening, and interactive presentations.

Helpers are increasingly encountering young people who are involved with self-injury. This webinar provides practical strategies for working with youth who are struggling with this complex issue. The topics covered include assessment, emotion regulation, replacement skills training, and contagion prevention. Viewers will gain new insights regarding self-injury behaviour in youth, along with tools for effective intervention.

This is an introductory-intermediate level webinar intended for social service and health care professionals, counselors, social workers, school personnel, and anyone interested in learning more about this topic.Method of Delivery
Each webinar is 60 - 70 minutes in length. Pre-recorded webinars include no interactivity with the instructor. Live webinars will each contain 60 minutes of instruction from the facilitator using visual powerpoint slides and then there will be 10 minutes at the end of the webinar when participants can type in questions or comments directly to the instructor and hear feedback in realtime from the instructor.Completing Webinar
Upon viewing entire webinar general participants will be able to receive a general certificate of participants. For those require ASWB and NBCC approved certificates you will need to take a post webinar test. A certificate will be given after successful completion of test.
