Randy Grieser, MSW, RSW – CEO

Randy Grieser is the founder and CEO of the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute and ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance. He is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution. Randy is a visionary leader who, together with a team of employees and trainers, has positioned these organizations to be two of the premier providers of professional development training in the industry. Prior to founding CTRI and ACHIEVE, he worked directly with issues of crisis and trauma while being employed in the areas of mental health, counseling, and crisis management within community, school, and hospital settings.

Randy believes that access to knowledge and skill development changes individual lives, communities, and organizations, and he is committed to making CTRI training and resources as accessible as possible. He is the author of the book, The Ordinary Leader, and co-author of The Culture Question. Nathan Gerbrandt, MSW, RSW – Managing Director

Nathan holds a Master of Social Work degree and is a Registered Social Worker. He is the Managing Director for CTRI and works with organizations and communities through a needs assessment process of identifying the best resources and training to meet them where they are at. Nathan also provides leadership in developing and managing CTRI trainers and course content. He believes that the key to improving people’s lives through training is to find the right fit. When this connection is made it inspires a ripple effect that can extends to everyone we meet.

Prior to this role Nathan coordinated service delivery and rehabilitation planning for repeat offenders with a diagnosis. He has refined skills in risk management and collaborative treatment planning for people in conflict with the law. In addition, Nathan possesses specialty in the areas of disability services, case management, and working with people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. He is the author of CTRI’s Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder – Strategies for Supporting workshop. Nathan is an engaging presenter who uses an interactive style to maximize the learning potential of participants.

Vicki Enns, MMFT – Clinical Director

Vicki is the Clinical Director of the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute, an Approved Supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, President of the Manitoba Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (MAMFT), and an instructor in the graduate program for Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Winnipeg. As Clinical Director, she works to maintain high standards of excellence and consistency in the material delivered for CTRI. Vicki ensures that it reflects best practices in the field and provides effective strategies that apply to a broad range of clients. She is the author or editor of many of CTRI’s training materials, including those on the topics of anxiety, trauma, mindfulness, gender and sexual diversity, ethics and wellness.

In her private practice, Vicki specializes in the area of trauma recovery for individuals of all ages, and she helps individuals, couples and families build positive mental health and relational skills across developmental stages. She believes in a holistic approach to wellness that applies to both clients and helpers. Vicki also believes that it is essential for helpers to continue learning and developing their self-awareness alongside evolving clinical skills.

Heidi Grieser, Co-founder & Director of ACHIEVE Publishing

Heidi Grieser is co-founder of ACHIEVE and after many years of being involved in multiple aspects of the organization, she now heads up our new publishing division. She brings her deep understanding of the training industry, combined with her passion for books, to ACHIEVE Publishing. In this role, Heidi organizes all the steps of the publication process. ACHIEVE Publishing is committed to producing exceptional and accessible books, and publishes one book each year alternating focus between subject matter relating to the areas of leadership and workplace performance, and mental health and counselling skills. John Koop-Harder, MSW, RSW – Training Development Specialist

John has been working as a therapist and trainer for almost 20 years. He is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Master of Social Work degree. He is a co-author of our Counselling Insights book, and is the author or editor of many of CTRI’s training materials, including those on the topics of addictions, harm reduction, and narrative therapy. Much of John’s career has centred on working with children, youth, adults and families dealing with crisis and trauma. While he has a diverse practice, he has particular interest and specialized experience in working with individuals and families impacted by mental health concerns, violence, post-war trauma recovery, gender/sexuality issues, and sexual abuse recovery.  John’s work is also informed by his international experiences working with individuals and communities impacted by civil war and ethnic conflicts in Colombia, Albania and Northern Ireland. John believes people are their own best experts and already have many of the skills, abilities, and competencies that will assist them to address the challenges influencing their lives.  

As CTRI’s Training and Development Specialist, John provides support to other trainers and ensures that training material reflects the current research in the field and is consistent with CTRI’s core beliefs. He is a warm and engaging facilitator who values interactive learning experiences. As a facilitator, he is a warm and engaging facilitator who values interactive learning experiences.

Delayne Hogan – Manager of Client Services

Delayne’s high standards for excellent service have been experienced by CTRI clients for over 7 years. She is adept at solving clients’ problems and attending to their needs promptly and efficiently. In addition to managing the Client Services Department, she oversees our certificate programs, and liaises with our partnering agencies. Delayne believes that the resources and services we offer in the areas of mental health and trauma can make a huge difference in the lives of our clients, and she’s grateful to be part of that work.

Catherine Kelly – Public Workshop Coordinator

Catherine’s friendly, warm personality is perfectly suited for her role of Public Workshop Coordinator. She brings a wealth of client service experience from her previous work in the area of Family Law. Her primary role at CTRI is to assist clients with their workshop registrations and ensure that their interactions with us are easy and enjoyable. She believes that good mental health is essential to each human being’s welfare, and that our work is important to ensure that this belief becomes a reality through the provision of our workshops.

Tyler Voth, Client Services Support

Tyler works with the client services team at CTRI. He is the first point of contact for many of our clients requesting information about our services. Tyler can assist you with questions about registration and other matters related to public workshops.

Cindy Rublee – Director of Internal Operations

Cindy has extensive experience overseeing workplace operations through her leadership roles in previous organizations. In her role at CTRI, Cindy provides direction in both the technical and design aspects of the company.

Chantel Runtz – Onsite Training Coordinator

Chantel assists organizations with the details of their on-site training events. She is often the first point of contact for clients wishing to utilize Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute on-site training services.

Lori Tiessen Banman – On-site Training Coordinator

Lori works with the CTRI on-site training programs. Her role is to connect with clients to ensure the workshops meet their needs and to connect with the trainers to ensure they have the information to deliver high quality trainings.
